Ty grew up in a little city called Struthers, Ohio. He fell in love with theatre at the age of seven when he was cast in his first musical The King and I. He performed continuously doing at least 2-3 shows each year, often more than one at a time while continuing his schooling and taking additional acting and music classes. He graduated from Struthers High School in 2011. Some of his favorite shows that he has performed include RENT, The Rocky Horror Show, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and The 39 Steps. His dream is to play a character along the lines of Ursula, from The Little Mermaid, Mary Sunshine, from Chicago, and the D'Ysquith family in A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. Ty chose to continue his education at Kent State University where he will be graduating in May with his BFA in Musical Theatre.
If Ty isn't on a stage, you can probably find him teaching, at least, one of the Zumba® Fitness formats he's licensed in. You could also find him listening to his collection of LPs, more than likely a Barbra Streisand or Dolly Parton album. A few of his hobbies include knitting, learning about meteorology, being roller coaster enthusiast, and seeing shows with his family.
